SLEEP!

Little miss Allison has decided that she now likes to sleep 10-11 hours a night!! Thank you baby girl! We feel so BLESSED. We know some parents aren't so lucky.
She is now almost fully switched over to formula. Like I said before, it wasn't exactly what I wanted, but it is what is best for her because I can't provide all that she needs. She is also growing! She weighs over 11 lbs now and is gaining about an ounce a day. She still has pretty skinny legs, but I'm sure that will soon change. But you gotta love those CHUBBY cheeks!

Allie & Mommy

Max is gone for 10 days doing some training, so it's just me and Miss Allie! We have fun, but we sure do miss daddy! He is the glue that keeps the family together. It's gonna be really hard when he leaves on deployment in September. We are thankful that we have family that will be here for us.
I entered Max into a father's day contest here in Lewiston. I really hope he wins! He deserves it! He is such a hard working man.

Goals!

Max and I have decided that we need to eat healthier. It's not that we really eat unhealthily, but we could do better.
We have also decided to start working out for an hour a day, doing P90X. After I had Allison, I lost all the pounds that I gained from the pregnancy, but I still have all the extra skin. Gross. I am hoping to lose about 70 pounds doing this program, and Max is just wanting to tone and build muscle. Typical man. Go figure. haha

3 Months!

I cannot believe our baby girl is already 3 months old! Time seems to be flying by so fast with her. Max and I need to start making her do some tummy time. She doesn't really care for it, but it is good for her mental/physical development.
We are taking her to get some more pictures done today. She is so cute and just gets cuter every day.

Proud Parents!

Max and I couldn't be prouder parents. Allison is such a great baby! She changes every day, and learns new things. We are also learning from her! We have learned that when she is fussy and tired...all we have to do is give her a warm blanket, and she goes right to sleep!
She likes to stand on her legs these days. She is so cute!
She is smiling a lot, and cooing. We got a little giggle out of her the other night! It's little things like this that make our lives so much better.

Tom is HOME!!

Max's brother, Tom, has been overseas for over a year. He has finally come home! We are happy to have him back! Welcome home Tom!

Food for thought

Allison is now eating formula...which is quite the opposite of what I wanted. I planned on nursing her until she was 1. But she wasn't gaining any weight. At her 2 month appointment she weighed 10lbs 3 oz...and we took her in to get a check up 5 1/2 weeks later, and she weighed the same! I needed to do what was best for her; do what it takes to make her gain some weight!
She didn't like the formula at all at first, but now she is taking to it nicely! The good thing is that she likes the cheap formula! She doesn't like Enfamil as much as she likes Similac. Yay for our checkbook!
We'll see if she has gained any weight on the 14th! They want her to come in for a weight check. We're crossing our fingers!

There's a first time for everything!

I have never blogged before. But I figured, why not...there is a first time for everything! I will try to keep this updated as much as possible. Little Allison takes up most of my time these days.
