Thankful!

Thanksgiving is tomorrow. It's Allie's first, and although her daddy won't be here for it, we have a lot to be thankful for!
We are thankful that we are alive and well and that God has given us such a beautiful, healthy baby girl! We are thankful that Max has such an amazing job where he can go defend our country. Thankful that his job gives us free medical!(That is such a major blessing, especially during this recession) Thankful to have shelter over our heads, food in our cupboards, and clothes on our back. Thankful for all the little things. Thankful for such loving family and friends. Thankful to live in the USA! I am thankful that I have a husband that loves me UNCONDITIONALLY! Thankful to be a stay at home mom, and raise our little girl! Thankful that we are able to donate food to those that are less fortunate. Those of you who have your husband with you, safe at home, be thankful!! It is such a blessing! SO MANY THINGS TO BE THANKFUL FOR! I love my life, and I wouldn't change it for a thing.

Wait For Me

This song makes me think of Max. Such a pretty song. (You'll have to pause the profile music. The music player is further down on the right.)

Max update

Max made is safely to Kuwait!  His flight was around 16 hours!! I can only imagine how miserable it must have been.
He said the dining facility there is super nice on the inside, and they have professional chefs!(If you don't know, normally the dining facilities are not so nice) He told me his first meal in Iraq was steak and lobster. I am so glad they are being taken care of so nicely over there.

8 Months

I know this post is a little late, but our little princess is already 8 months old!!! Goodness. They really don't lie when they say that the time flies! Max will be home for Allie's 1st birthday! We are so happy that he won't miss it. Allie and I miss him more than words can say.

New Orleans!

I finally got to see my hubby before his shipping out of the country to Kuwait. We met at Camp Shelby, Mississippi the first night. Then the next day we went to New Orleans, Louisiana! I never thought in a million years that I would get to ever go to New Orleans. Let me tell ya, it was not at all like what I thought it would be. I have never seen so many beggars in my life! We got asked so many times for money.
The city was so dirty and smelly. Bourbon street was for the most part, really gross! It reeked of urine, alcohol, and feces. It was filled with obnoxious drunk people who wanted to touch Allison. We only went down that street one time, and that was more than enough for us.
They have a trolleys that go around the city. We took the trolley probably 3 times the whole time we were there. We walked everywhere, and it was nice! A couple trolleys they had were the oldest in the U.S. or something like that. And the apartments on Bourbon Street are the oldest in the U.S. (That is what I hear, anyways)
We got to go to the Aquarium and Audubon Zoo! We also got to see the famous St. Louis Cathedral. It was nothing but BEAUTIFUL! The last day we were together in New Orleans, we were sitting in Jackson Square, a beautiful park in the front of the Cathedral, and a man was playing his guitar and singing. He was an amazing singer, and it just added to the whole experience.
The 4 days we had together flew by, and it really feels like it was just a dream. An amazing dream.

I love this man more than words can say.

Some of Allie's last moments with daddy.
This was when that man was playing his guitar and singing so beautifully.
These precious moments made me cry like a little baby
Isn't he just THE MOST HANDSOME man you have ever seen?!

Our Trip

I was so nervous to travel by airplane. I love flying, but for some reason I get so anxious and get some big butterflies in my tummy. Once I got to the airport I was fine. I was just nervous about traveling with Allie. But she surprisingly did better than I expected she would. On take off, when we were getting higher in elevation, she started screaming because the pressure hurt her ears, and the same on landing. She grabbed them and started crying. Other than that, she slept the whole time. I am so glad we made it safe.
The day after tomorrow we get to go see Max in New Orleans! I am so excited. I am hoping that Allie will finally crawl for her first time when she sees her daddy. Maybe he will give her just that extra little bit of encouragement that she needs.
I've been slacking on the blog lately, I know. I will try to keep up on it better! =]
