Sick Baby

Poor little Allison has the flu! She hadn't been keeping anything down this morning, so I took her to the doctor and sure enough. The flu. She looks so drained and weak. It makes me so sad to see her sick. She's been doing better this evening. I have been giving her pedialyte. She's kept that down. I just wanna cuddle her all night!

Baby Love

Allie has acquired quite a few "boyfriends" already! Here is one of them. His name is Kyron. He is 4 months old, and Allie is 6 months old(you already knew that though). They were quite cute!
Awww baby kisses! So cute....only until she's older. Then this wouldn't be so cute! Then momma will be kicking some cute little butt!

Escape Artist

I have quite the little escape artist on my hands. When I went to grab my little princess out of her crib this morning, she had her diaper most of the way off. She is only 6 months old and should NOT know how to do this! She is so silly. She makes me laugh every day. Her and her daddy are my everything.

Farewell For Now

Max left the day before yesterday. I have to say it was one of the hardest days of my life. I thought I would have taken it better than I did. I was a sobbing mess.
I know that Allie senses something is wrong. She has been fussy since he left, and let me tell you...she is normally not a fussy baby by any means! And coincidence or not, all day she is saying "da da da da". It breaks my heart! She is such a daddy's girl. I am thankful, though, that she is so young and she won't remember him being gone.
Max is in Mississippi for 45 days. Then he's off to Iraq. He doesn't like it in Mississippi. He said it is like 90% humidity, and the base where they are staying is really run down because it is only in operation when soldiers come there before a deployment.
Here are some pictures from the send-off at the armory

Last kiss before he loaded on the bus. See you soon love.

Family Pictures

Max and I thought it would be a great idea to get some family pictures done before he leaves. We also got some 6 month pictures done of miss Allie, and pictures of Max and Allie in their matching uniforms. They turned out BEAUTIFUL! We love our photographer. He always does a great job and doesn't disappoint us. We just ordered them today and they take 5-6 weeks to be ready. I will be posting the pictures as soon as I get them!

Deployment

Max is leaving tomorrow morning for Mississippi. He will be there for about 45 days, and then he goes to Iraq. The past year since we found out he was for sure deploying has gone by WAY TOO FAST! I try to think that things could be worse! It could be like back when they couldn't call home. We are going to be very fortunate to be able to use Skype...lucky that Max will be able to call home at LEAST once a week. The hardest thing for me will be going to sleep alone every night...not having him here to hug me when I'm having a bad day...not being able to talk to him when I need him to talk to.
Thank goodness I will have a little piece of him here with me-our beautiful daughter. She will keep me plenty busy! I feel more sad about him leaving her for a year, than him leaving me. I can imagine his heartache. He's been with me for almost 6 years. But we've only had her for 6 months
I'm gonna try my hardest to keep my head up through this. Not only for me...but for Allie and Max. I need to be strong for both of them.

Happy 6 months Allie!!

Our precious baby girl turned 6 months old yesterday!! I gave her some baby puffs yesterday for her first time. She gagged on it. She didn't know how to deal with it in her mouth. I hope she gets used to them!
We took her to her 6 month appointment this morning. Here's the stats.

Weight: 15lbs 13oz - 47%
Height: 26 1/4" long - 70%
Head Circumference: 44 1/2cm - 94%

So her weight is finally catching up with the average baby....her head is more than above average! We just know it's because she has a bigger brain and is gonna be super smart!

Max got home from his Annual Training last Friday. We had a deployment party for him on Saturday. He leaves for deployment on the 21st. We are cherishing what little time we have left before he leaves. Time is going by way to fast.

Here is our sweet little girl in a uniform we had made for her by Max's Aunt. It turned out better than we had thought! We love it. She matches daddy! (daddy doesn't have the pink though! haha)

Allie's first time at the park!

It was a nice day this last Sunday, so I figured it would be a great time to take little miss Allison to the park! She went down the slide with me and got in the baby swing. She loved it! It was her first time touching grass too. She didn't really know what to think of that! She's so beautiful. I couldn't be a prouder mama!

Cold

So little miss Allie has her first cold, and it makes me so sad! Her nose is so stuffy, and she sounds like she struggles to breathe. I worry when she sleeps...I can't stand next to her crib for her whole nap, or at night. I worry that she will stop breathing. I'm gonna get her some baby Vicks Vapor Rub. Hope it will help.
On a better note, we got Allie her highchair, and she LOVES it! It's so much easier to feed her in the highchair, rather than the bumbo chair. In her highchair she can't move around like she did in the bumbo. Now she can focus on me! She looks so small in the highchair! I love this little girl more than life
